Plastic bevel gears
Are you looking for a special solution? Depending on the parameters prevailing in your application, we can advise you regarding the right material and manufacturing and tool technology to shape individual gears in a process-reliable manner, free of charge and without obligation.
Being manufactured in plastic, these bevel gears offer a reduced weight compared to traditioanl metal gears and also a reduction in noise, which is again an advantage.
Our bevel gears made of iglidur® high-performance polymers enable lubrication-free and maintenance-free use. We currently have two materials to choose from and these can be found in our online shop.
There is a large selection of options that can be ordered with no minimum order quantity and without a minimum order value.

How does a bevel gear work?
Bevel gears are used to transmit forces or torques.
A bevel gearbox consists of at least two bevel gears, the axes of which are at a specific angle to one another.
The bevel gears can have both the same and different sizes. This depends on the number of teeth, the module and the resulting gear ratio.
At igus®, we offer bevel gears with different transmission ratios, which can be mounted at an axis angle
of 90 degrees.
In combination, bevel gears can run both clockwise and counter-clockwise.
How do I choose the right bevel gear combination?
When selecting, care must be taken to ensure that the bevel gears have the same module and match each other in the desired transmission ratio.
The bevel gears differ in terms of the number of teeth, module and transmission ratio.
igus® offers seven different modules:
1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5
and six different gear ratios:
1:1, 1:1.5, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4, 1:5
Rework of our bevel gears is possible. (e.g. feather key groove, thread or a larger hole diameter)

With a lightweight housing
Our angular gearboxes can be directly installed, feature a lightweight housing, are rust-proof and do not require any additional lubricants.
The angular gearboxes are available in iguform S270 and igutek P360.
