• Success for the customer: The customer wanted to raise the antenna, which lay sunk in the boat, because in the past he often had no signal when he was on a fishing trip. Since the antenna, including an additionally attached camera, can now be extended, the customer has a good signal at all times.

NT-60 makes navigation safer

The customer designed the NT-60 construction in his Ocean Master himself and implemented it with the support of igus USA. The antennas are mounted in an elevated position on a boat as standard. However, that is not possible with this model. This meant that the customer no longer had a location in fog or bad weather. This can be very dangerous as boats need the tracking system to navigate.
 

Telescopic rails can be adjusted at the touch of a button

All 16 telescopic rails are driven by the on-board electronics at the push of a button directly on the rudder and lift the antenna up to 2.4 metres in the air via a toothed belt drive. Since the telescopic rails are not loaded to their full capacity with the weight of the antenna, the customer was even able to mount an additional camera under the radar. Using it, he films himself while fishing and we know that with this design he will be able to shoot many more big catches.
