Application Examples for the rol e-chain System

Rol e-chain® - rolling instead of sliding - e-chains® of conventional design are operated on long travels in sliding mode. Extending the technical limits of this operating mode was the trigger for the development of the igus® Rol e-chain®. The requirements for e-chain® on long travel distances have steadily increased in recent years. Travel distances of 800 metres pose new challenges, as do high travel speeds in crane construction with extreme cable loads. Please give us a call if you decide in favour of this product. Typical industries and applications: The igus® Rol e-chain® is predestined for applications in which long travel distances have to be realised at high speeds. This is often the case, for example, with target entry cameras or in conveyor technology. The system's low coefficient of friction can also save costs in slower applications in the crane sector or in shifting systems, as the dimensions of the drives can be significantly smaller.
