The e-tract is a cable management/ retraction unit for integration into charging stations. The e-tract works similarly to a pulley principle, therefore the charging cable retracts and is pulled out when required. This design prevents hazards and cable damage caused by improper rewinding or cables lying in the way. The e-tract is used in applications where a mobile end device is connected to a cable and was previously reeled up by hand. Thanks to multiple deflections, long pull-out lengths are now possible in a small installation space, without a slip-ring.
Typical areas of application:
Control panels, tools on assembly lines and work tables, power charging stations
What is an e-tract system? An e-tract system is not the complete EV charger point. It is is the internal system keeping the charging cables secure and tidy within the charging unit. As the e-tract is installed inside the charging station it is protected against vandalism as well as the weather and offers anti-theft protection for the cables.
